How joining works: from ‘interested’ to ‘you’re in’

Wello isn’t tickets and turnstiles, a real person opens the door. Here’s the whole journey, from tapping a room to walking in.

You ask, the host says come through

On Wello you don’t buy a ticket, you ask to join, and the host decides. That’s the whole point: every room is hosted by a real person and joined by people they’re glad to have. Tap Join on an experience and your request lands with the host.

Nothing’s taken until you’re in

For a paid experience your card is authorised, not charged, when you ask. The money only moves if the host says yes. If they pass, or the response window runs out. The hold falls away and you keep your money. Free experiences are simpler still: just a request.

Bringing people with you

Where a host allows it, you can request a seat or two for friends as you join. Once you’re accepted you get a link to hand each spare seat to a specific person, so the host always knows exactly who’s walking in.

On the day

  • On my way: tap it when you set off, so the host knows the room is filling.
  • I’m here: marks you as arrived once you’ve made it.
  • Check in: a quick QR scan confirms you’re really there. That’s what turns a booking into a real, rated attendance.

Plans changed? Cancel early.

Life happens, but a seat you don’t use is one the host held for you and turned others away for. Cancel the moment you know, well before the start, and you keep your standing (and, on paid events inside the cancellation window, your money).
